Recording Studio Eau Claire WI

Who we are

We're a Recording Studio based In Eau Claire, WI. We record all genres and offer professional-quality radio-ready Mixing and Mastering. We also have experience doing radio Ads, ADR for Film and TV, as well as Score and theme music for placement. We focus on quality and like to take our time and do it right.

1. Booking TCS

To Book Time at Toy Car Studios. Email our studio manager Adam S. Accola (-HERE-) He will arrange the dates and answer any questions you may have. A deposit needs to be paid before dates are added to the calendar. The deposit comes out of the total costs of recording. Usually half the day rate. Payment Plans are available. We want to make your record happen.

Before your session, we need to do "Pre-Pro" (Pre-Production.) Email all the demos you have of the songs you wish to track. This way we can have a clear idea of what needs to happen during the sessions. We can also determine if Pre-Pro days are needed. Make sure you practice the songs as much as possible as a band and individual. Also Practice with a click.

3. Tracking

We know some bands like to Start early, others like late, so we keep it flexible. Bring all your toys. You'll also have access to all ours as well. OUR GEAR LIST (-HERE-). If it’s in the studio it’s yours to use. You'll have a headphone mixer so you can hear exacly what you want. We stay till the job is done so be ready for long hours!

4. Mixing

Once tracking is complete. We start mixing. Mixing is were we clean up the songs and make every instrument sound it's best. We set up all the FX and levels of the songs so that every instrument can be enjoyed clearly. Mixing is a long process. But together we will get it done right. Mixing is where your music comes alive.

Mastering sets the levels of the songs so they can be on radio, and TV. As well as streaming services like Spotify, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, or what ever else you can think of. We make it so the songs have a cohesive level for easy comfortable listening. Also we don't want your fans having to adjust the volume while listening to your record. Mastering solves all that.

5.Promotion, design, and Release

We'll help guide you through the process of releasing your songs. Our Goal, is to teach you the business side, so you have the greatest shot at competing in the current music scene. We have amazing Artists (Logos, Album art, T-shirt design) photographers (Press, live, band photos) and filmmakers (Promo, Music videos.)

"Justin does an amazing job with creative direction and coming up with tweaks to make your songs sound better." Jordan Campbell of Chamber Noise

Live Performances from Toy Car Studios

What we do

  • Recording The Old School Way

We believe the best records come from collaboration and artist performance, not from computers correcting everything to perfection. We use Analog gear as well as digital, The best of both worlds. But we push you first to perform the songs the best you can before falling back on modern assistance.

  • Producing

We'll help develop your songs and bring out the best in you. Expect to be challenged and pushed at TCS. We’re not a studio that will throw up a mic and hit record. We’ll guide and help you find the moments that make your record amazing, unless you specifically ask us to just hit record. We go out of our way to help make your music something you can be proud of. Studio rental is avalible for bands not wanting to be produced.

  • Quality

Better sounding recordings = better booking opportunities. Better booking opportunities = More fans. More fans = a lucrative career in music. So many record in their homes and wonder why their music doesn't sound as good as the records they love. Audio engineering and production are what we live for. Let us spend the long hours everyday learning about the most recent tech, you worry about the songs.

  • Development

We do our best to help guide bands on how to better achieve their goals in the music industry. Recording at TCS has been said to be like a therapy session. We’ll find the emotional state you were in when you wrote the songs, so you can perform the songs with passion. It's passion that sells records at the end of the day. You’ll leave here a more confident artist with performances you’ll be excited to share.

  • Honesty

We’re honest with our artists. If you ask what we think, we’ll tell you. Being a musician is a journey not a destination. We should always be learning and growing. People telling you you’re amazing is nice, but if you want to grow and develop you need to ask the tough questions. We understand that music is subjective, so we push you to be the best you can be.

  • Experience

Tracking is important to you but is everything to us. We love making music. We love being in the studio and making your music come alive. We’ve been working in the industry so long, we understand how important vibe is. We need to capture you being honest, therefore we need you feeling comfortable. People will feel IT when listening to your music.
